Providence Wedding

Francesca + Chris said forever in the beautiful city of Providence, Rhode Island on June 25th, 2021. This perfect summer day was nothing short of magical – bringing together elements that were both bold & vibrant paired with industrial & soft. We started the day off downtown at Hotel Providence, where F+C got ready in separate suites. After capturing the special moments of getting ready with their parents it was time for the first look. We headed up to the hotel’s rooftop to a perfectly overcast sky and a patiently waiting groom.

The brick buildings and church clock tower were the perfect backdrops to these portraits — adding an industrial feel yet still classic and clean. Francesca’s Jenny Yoo Conrad gown was ethereal & graceful. While Flowers by Semia created an array of vibrant & bold floral bouquets that were out of this world. The peonies (my absolute favorites) were truly breathtaking.

After group shots, we headed to the terrace for the ceremony. In their vow book, F+C had their officiant place a funny “MEME” picture inside to calm their nerves of having to read them aloud to each other in front of their families. We absolutely loved this detail and felt it added a special touch that was unique to them! (you’ll see the reaction in the photo below!)

A quick bustle and the terrace was cleared from chairs and revamped for the couple to have their first dance. Guests were given a glass of champagne to toast to the Bride + Groom then it was off to the races ( ….well group photos) in a vintage white trolley!

Our final stop was Gracie’s Restaurant for the reception. Guests were offered freshly shucked oysters and a variety of delicious passed hors d’oeuvres as the sound of a harpist & violinist added to the romantic ambiance. Dinner included a 5-course meal with entrees ranging from Rigatoni Campanaro with sweet & spicy duck sausage to Atlantic Halibut (including a gnocchi option which is arguably Shane’s favorite meal of the year). The food was exquisite, although we weren’t surprised at all considering Francesca is a Boston food blogger! We were, again, mesmerized by the floral design on the tablescape and by the personal touches F+C incorporated in the details (….like Sophie, their Bulldog, embossed on cocktail napkins)

The night ended with a gold chipped cake, petit fours …oh and macaroon ice cream sandwiches from Ellie’s Prov – I think we about died and went to heaven at this point! A truly magical day for Francesca + Chris and are so happy we got to be there to capture these special moments for them!
