Sullivan’s Island Engagement Session

Funny thing about this engagement session is that we almost cancelled because of the weather but man, I am so happy we didn’t. The moody fog set in over Sullivan’s Island and created the perfect VIBE and I am living for it! Steph & Will first met us in Old Village, Mount Pleasant at a new wine shop, Wine Shop OV, where we first grabbed a few photos and chatted over some vino, obviously. (pro tip, keep it to one drink before the session, hah). We then headed off to the beach and had the entire space to ourselves. We ran around as the tide came in, beat most of the rain and ended with some champagne poppin’.

Sullivan’s Island is one of our favorite spots in Charleston and we highly recommend adding it to your list of spots to visit if you head over this way. The little strip of restaurants and shops (check out below for some of our favorite spots) are always a good time and quite delicious!

What to do on Sullivan’s Island:

Obstinate Daughter – The house made pasta is amazing but the pizza is our favorite!

The Co-Op – Known for their frosé and funny banter on their merch (don’t be an asshole!). But a great spot to grab sandwiches before you head to the beach for the day.

Hometeam BBQ – The real MVP here is the wings! I’ll even say better than J.Timothy’s for all our Connecticut friends tuning in to this post.

The Longboard – Oyster happy hour is from 3PM – 6PM where you can get 1/2 off a half or whole dozen! (Try them grilled too) but the cocktails are where it’s at here.

Visit Fort Moultrie – visit one of the oldest forts along the East coast

Walk the pristine beaches – it’s about a 3.5 mile walk from 1 side of beach to other, you can do it! (just maybe early morning or late day, the heat here is brutal!)

Finally, call us to schedule your couples or family session while your in town !
